The purpose of this seminar is to provide a review of policy coverage provided by the ALTA title insurance policies available in Florida and how coverage is applied in the instance of a claim from an insured.  The course will provide a brief overview of title insurance policy coverage in Florida.  The bulk of the course will focus on the various types of title insurance claims in Florida; how claims arise and are identified; methods of claims resolution; a case study of real claims tendered to Old Republic; and tips on claims prevention.  The goal is to familiarize the attorney with the extent of policy coverage to the client; to educate the attorney on title insurance claims and claims avoidance practices and to inform the attorney of the recent fraud schemes and spreading cyber/technology related fraud claims.
